Job summary

SLP Operations, LLC is seeking a Cook for our long-term care facility to prepare meals in accordance with resident diet specifications and safety standards. Under the Dietary Services Manager, you will help ensure high-quality meals and proper sanitation.

You will work with Dietary Manager to supervise aides, review menus, manage inventory, and assist with training. Evening, weekend, and on-call shifts may be required; strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare food service setting preferred, long-term care experience a plus.
• Must interact positively with residents, families, and regulatory agencies.
• Must be able to maintain consistent attendance and work long or irregular hours under pressure.
• Must comply with local health regulations and complete a post-offer health assessment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals per menus and prescribed diets.
• Direct and assist with cleaning, sanitation, and tray verification.
• Ensure proper storage of food and supplies and follow safety policies.
• Promote residents' rights and regulatory compliance in daily practice.
• Assist with supervision of Dietary Aides.
• Coordinate dietary services with other departments; review menus.
• Manage inventory and prepare for upcoming meals.
• Participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
