Cedarhurst of Salina is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare nutritious meals that meet residents' dietary needs and safety standards. You will collaborate with the Dining Services Director, ensure proper temperatures, and support kitchen staff while delivering a welcoming dining experience.

The role emphasizes teamwork, training of new staff, proper documentation, and adherence to infection control and food safety guidelines in a senior living environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year experience as a cook preferred.
• State/county licensure required.
• Food Manager Certification, or ability to obtain.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and serve foods per menu and recipes.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and safety standards.
• Accommodate dietary needs as directed by the Director.
• Assist with training and orientation of new kitchen staff.
• Document temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
• Communicate with residents/families regarding care and dining needs.
