Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents, supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director, and ensure a clean, safe kitchen. You will follow approved menus, monitor temperatures, and assist with training new staff, while respecting residents' dietary needs.

The role requires Serv-Safe certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days), strong reading/writing skills, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a team

Qualifications

• Experience in dining services and food preparation.
• Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Understanding of food service operations and dietary duties.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.
• Ability to learn quickly and follow directions as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dietary staff in absence of leadership.
• Prepare and present meals per approved recipes and menus.
• Maintain clean, safe kitchen and comply with sanitation standards.
• Record temperatures and monitor fridge/freezer temps as required.
• Attend in-services and staff meetings; adapt to resident dietary needs.
