Job summary

Rescue Mission seeks a dedicated Client Care Specialist for the Crossroads Adult Care Facility in Syracuse, NY. The role covers Thursdays through Mondays, 2:30pm–11:00pm, with a $1.00 shift differential.

You will oversee medication dispensing, support residents, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment within a Monday–Friday residential program for men facing mental, physical, or developmental challenges.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in human services or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience working with homeless, addicted and/or mentally ill clients desired.
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as required by the Dept. of Health.
• Must comply with CDC guidelines regarding Covid-19, including wearing facial masks when working.
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy are essential.
• Interviewing/assessment skills and time-management are important for daily rounds and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dispensing medications to residents and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Provide support, encouragement, and motivation to clients while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Complete rounds, monitor facilities, and facilitate tests as needed.
• Document information, participate in meetings, and maintain client confidentiality as required.
• Refer clients to internal services and work as part of the Rescue Mission team to deliver quality care.
