Responsibilities

• Assists the Social Services Director with day-to-day activities in the building.
• Develops and maintains social work policies reflecting current standards and regulations.
• Coordinates care and services with residents, families, staff, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Advocates for residents' rights and maintains dignity and individuality in interactions.
• Responds to behavioral and psychiatric issues with assessments and referrals.
• Maintains a social services caseload as required.
• Consults with the facility's Behavior Management Program to meet psychosocial needs.
• Follows emergency and disaster protocols and prioritizes tasks within time and budget.
