Job summary

Touchmark West Hills is seeking a highly organized Resident Care Coordinator/Scheduler to support the Health Services department. The role focuses on creating and maintaining caregiver schedules, coordinating staffing, and ensuring residents receive timely, quality care.

Ideal candidates have clerical experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with Dayforce. The position supports a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of clerical or administrative experience.
• 2+ years of scheduling, staffing coordination, senior living, healthcare, or direct-care experience preferred.
• Caregiver and/or medication technician experience strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond calmly to staffing challenges.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
• Professional communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Create, post, and maintain caregiver and medication technician schedules using Dayforce.
• Proactively review upcoming schedules, identify open shifts, and secure coverage.
• Coordinate staffing needs while minimizing overtime and maintaining coverage.
• Track call-outs, attendance, schedule changes, and employee follow-up.
• Maintain certification and training records for Health Services team members.
• Coordinate and participate in caregiver and medication technician interviews.
• Assist with onboarding and training new Health Services team members.
• Maintain department records and administrative documentation.
• Assist with payroll corrections and staffing-related tasks.
• Provide clear pass-down communication between schedulers for continuity.
• Support Health Services Director and nursing leadership with operational needs.
• Assist with coverage and be trained as a Caregiver and Med Tech.
