Job summary

Westerwood is a premier senior living community seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage staff schedules, arrange coverage when plans change, and coordinate resident medical appointments. The role collaborates with nursing leadership, participates in the on-call rotation for urgent staffing needs outside scheduled hours, and is a full-time, Monday-Friday position.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio LPN license or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification.
• At least three years of healthcare experience.
• Experience with scheduling, staffing coordination, or administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain staffing schedules based on coverage needs, census, and budget guidelines.
• Coordinate coverage for call-offs, PTO, leaves, and open shifts; communicate schedule changes promptly.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, respond to urgent staffing issues, and escalate unresolved coverage needs to nursing leadership.
• Track attendance and timekeeping information and assist with payroll review.
• Arrange resident medical appointments, transportation, and follow-up logistics; communicate details to the care team and families as appropriate.
• Support care team communication and refer clinical matters to licensed nursing staff.
