Job summary

The Tradition Senior Living, LP in Dallas - Lovers Lane is seeking a Resident Care Partner for Memory Care on a full-time weekend schedule. You will assist residents with daily living, respond to calls, and support the Memory Care team under the Memory Care Director.

We value compassionate care, respect for resident rights, and teamwork. A high school diploma is required; CNA/CMA certification is a plus, with at least one year of dementia care experience.

Qualifications

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: lifting 20–30 pounds; stands/walks; high activity level.

Responsibilities

RESIDENT CARE PARTNER - MEMORY CARE (Full time-Weekends)

The Tradition Senior Living is a Texas-based Luxury Senior Living organization committed to excellence in all we do to serve our residents. Since our inception, we have expanded to multiple locations in the Dallas, Houston, and Fort Worth areas. Each community offers a comprehensive continuum of care that includes Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.

We are currently seeking a Resident Care Partner at our Dallas - Lovers Lane community. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Memory Care team. The Resident CP reports directly to our Memory Care Director who oversees day-to-day operations of the community’s Memory Care department.

Responsibilities

• Double Weekends: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm
• Assist residents with activities of daily living; provide resident care
• Respond to resident calls
• Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members. Communicate scheduled activities and changes in resident care to management
• Assist with resident outings and community events
• Help provide necessary assistance to ensure highest quality of resident life; maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information; protect & honor resident rights
• Providing direct personal care and supervision to residents in accordance with resident’s individualized Service Plan
• Offer choices, maintain and promote dignity and individuality to enhance the resident’s satisfaction and quality of life
• Encourage residents to participate in activities
• Lead programming/activities as assigned
• Work with housekeepers and maintenance staff to maintain community cleanliness
• Work with Dining Services to ensure resident’s needs are met
• Follow safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting and transferring, infection control practices, fire safety and universal precautions
• Assist and serve residents at mealtime
• Support residents in daily household tasks ensuring their apartments are neat and safe at all times; respond quickly to resident alerts
• Conduct wellness checks according to service plan and as needed, minimum every one hour. Follow schedules of duties for Care Partners
• Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings
• Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, preservation of equipment, and achievement of safe working practices
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and co-workers; adhere to all policies and procedures of the community
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work a full time schedule, requiring some weekends and holidays
• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree. Certified CNA or CMA a plus
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's and other types of dementia
• At least one-year experience working with residents with dementia
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Stands and walks short distances. Frequent lifting of 20 – 30 pounds. Bends, squats, kneels, and reaches. Activity level is high
