Job summary

The Aspenwood Company is hiring Memory Care Resident Assistants in Denton, Texas. This full-time role requires compassion and a heart for seniors, with shifts 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on a 4-on 2-off schedule. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $17.00 per hour, weekend and holiday availability required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience preferred for seniors.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, encouraging independence.
• Serve meals in dining rooms or apartments and assist in meal preparation, promoting proper nutrition and hydration.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities to help residents socialize and build friendships.
• Maintain accurate records of leisure activities, incidents, observations and changes in residents’ conditions.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment; perform general housekeeping duties.
• Follow procedures in emergencies and respond quickly to resident requests (emergency pendants, calls).
• Know each resident’s location, remind to sign out when leaving, report if not located.
• Foster a cooperative team environment with positive interactions with coworkers.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions; be an active member of the emergency response team.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to company policies.

Location:

Village on the Park Denton, an Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community.

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr. - $17.00/hr.

Full Time

Schedule:

4 on 2 off | 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Must be available to work weekends and holidays

• Maintain accurate and timely records, documenting leisure activities, incidents, observations, and any changes in residents' conditions.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, performing general housekeeping duties.
• Follow proper procedures in emergencies and respond quickly to resident requests, including emergency call pendants and telephone calls.
• Know each resident’s location, remind them to sign out when leaving, and promptly report if a resident cannot be located.
• Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with co-workers.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene in accordance with company policies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or GED required.
