Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a nursing care community or related healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of DHS Sections 83 and 89 regulations preferred.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication with residents, families, staff, and public.
• Superior customer service with a courteous demeanor.
• Good problem-solving and ability to develop alternatives.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret care services programs.

Responsibilities

• Supports nursing staff conducting medical assessments for new admissions and ongoing evaluations, as trained.
• Monitors medication administration and documentation in MARs; maintains resident docs and care plans as directed.
• Coordinates service plans, activates resources, and communicates with physicians or pharmacies about med orders or changes.
• Provides regular support to resident care needs and follow-up as appropriate.
• Leads quality improvement activities focusing on wellness, clinical management, and safety.
• Supports hiring, training, and oversight of clinical care staff.
• Ensures compliance with DHS 83 and 89 policies and internal procedures.
• Maintains communication with supervisor and other department heads about resident service matters.
• Keeps knowledge updated on State DHS regulations and updates.
• Available for on-call duties as-needed.
