Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Medication Technician in Portland, Oregon to administer medications within the scope of your license and deliver daily care according to each resident’s care plan.

You will work under a licensed nurse, document medication administration, support residents with activities of daily living, assist with dining and social programs, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment aligned with our Platinum Service standards.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Prefer 6 months or more of experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Strong communication skills with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and report any adverse effects.
• Provide personal care activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, etc.).
• Assist in dining rooms to provide resident care and monitoring.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and socialize with others.
• Observe changes in residents’ health and emotional condition and report to the nurse.
• Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
• Promote infection control and safety within the facility.
• Assist residents for appointments and daily living activities.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
