Job summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) at Good Samaritan delivers resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse, following the plan of care and state regulations. This role involves assisting with bathing, grooming, feeding, vital signs, and mobility.

The MA supports wellness activities, documents care outcomes, administers medications as delegated, and communicates changes to the charge nurse. Travel to support multiple locations within 75-mile radius is required.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 6 months experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Active CMA/TMA or CNA certification as applicable by state.
• State-specific certification requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care outcomes and vital signs; report changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range of motion as trained.
• Support wellness programs and ensure a clean, safe living environment.
