Job summary

Good Samaritan seeks a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse. You will help with basic health tasks, daily living activities, and support dining and hydration for residents.

The role administers prescribed medications under supervision, documents care outcomes, and communicates changes to the charge nurse. Travel to multiple locations within a 75-mile radius is required; premium pay and shift differentials apply where

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age is 18.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must have CNA certification as required by state.
• Completion of a state-approved CMA/TMA course after CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior and activity.
• Communicate changing conditions and care concerns to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transferring, mobility, meals, and range of motion activities.

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred

Minimum of 18 years of age

CNA certification required by state

Completion of CMA/TMA course after CNA
