Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered care and assist with daily living activities under a charge nurse. You will administer medications as delegated and document resident care outcomes, vital signs, and related information.

The role includes assisting with meals, transfers, and mobility, while delivering compassionate care in a multi-location service area. A CNA background and state-specific CMA/TMA training are advantageous, with mandatory

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual continuing education credits as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document caregiving, medication outcomes, and resident condition; communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with meal service, dining, hygiene, mobility, and housekeeping as needed.
