Job summary

McLaren Health in Michigan seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to function as a total resident care giver in our TCU unit. You will apply the nursing process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet residents' needs while upholding privacy and rights.

Required: MI LPN license, BLS within 3 months, IV training and competency within 3 months; prior LTC/acute care experience preferred. Casual, variable shifts with 0 hours guaranteed. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of practical nursing or U.S. Armed Forces Practical Nursing Program.
• Licensed by the state of Michigan.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• IV training module with competency evaluation within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Applies the nursing process in provision of resident care.
• Performs resident assessments and collects data for assessments, MDS and Care Area Assessments.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to formulate and revise the plan of care; participates in team and family conferences as needed.
