Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of practical nursing OR completion of a U.S. Armed Forces Practical Nursing Program.
• Licensed by state of Michigan
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire
• IV training module and competency evaluation within 3 months of hire
• Preferred: Previous experience in long-term care or acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Applies the nursing process in provision of resident care
• Performs resident assessments and collects data needed to complete assessments, Minimum Data Set and Care Area Assessments
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in the formulation of a resident plan of care and its revisions; and participates in team and family conferences as needed
