Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Resident Care Director in Virginia. The role supports the Resident Care Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating the Resident Care department to ensure high-quality care and a positive resident experience.

You will provide direct care under supervision and model CSL values daily. The position requires nursing qualifications, leadership, and the ability to work a Tue–Sat 11am–7pm schedule, with weekend/evening flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• State-approved practical nursing education or active state certification in medication administration.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably.
• Experience in geriatric, psychiatric, or rehabilitation nursing.
• Certified in CPR and first aid.
• Willing to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Care Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating the Resident Care department.
• Provide direct resident care under RCD supervision per nursing process and regulations.
• Administer and document medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Supervise direct care staff and manage departmental scheduling to ensure adequate staffing.
• Perform routine safety, infection control, and quality audits for resident care.
