Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living seeks a Resident Care Director (RN) to serve as the clinical leader in the community, directing health, wellness, and care coordination to ensure safe, high-quality, resident-centered services.

You will drive clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and team performance, supporting Sunrise’s standards of care and mission. This role includes leadership across nursing operations and collaboration with physicians and clinical partners.

Qualifications

• RN licensed with leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings.
• Strong ability to coordinate resident care plans and ISP processes.
• Proven track record in regulatory compliance and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the nursing team and all care programs.
• Conduct resident assessments and oversee ISP development and updates.
• Monitor condition changes and coordinate with physicians and clinical partners.
• Oversee medication management and infection control programs.
• Serve as CLIA and Infection Control leader as applicable.
• Drive QAPI initiatives to improve resident outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial and nursing regulations.
• Recruit, hire, train and performance manage clinical team members.
• Manage staffing, scheduling and department budget.
• Partner with Sales to assess move-in appropriateness.
