Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living is seeking a Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) to create a joyful community by mentoring staff and coordinating resident care. The RCC participates in orientation and training, mentors care team members, and ensures accurate medication administration and documentation.

The role requires LPN/CNA/HCA licenses or equivalent, state health/training compliance, and flexibility to work weekends.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse (LPN), certified nursing assistant (CNA), or home care aide (HCA) license required.
• Experience in assisted living and senior care preferred.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Meets all mandatory health and training requirements per state regulations.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Criminal background and fingerprint check required.
• Basic computer knowledge and aptitude to learn company applications.
• Empathy and passion for working with older adults.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Makes and updates care staff schedules; coordinates coverage for PTO.
• Acts as on-call staff and fills shifts as needed by Nursing Director.
• Reads resident records; maintains familiarity with assessments and plans.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and medications; supports self-care.
• Maintains MAR accuracy; ensures orders are transcribed and signed by the Medication Aide.
• Coordinates care with outside agencies and attends service plan meetings.
• Monitors physician orders and follows up daily; relays changes to the team.
• Provides training and orientation for new staff; acts as lead for care staff.
• Walks through safety procedures and emergency protocols; ensures a safe environment.
• Weekend availability required.
