Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living in Ohio is seeking a Resident Care Coordinator to foster a joyful, supportive community by mentoring staff and coordinating resident care with leadership and external providers.

The RCC will manage staff schedules, cover shifts, assist with daily living, medications and MAR documentation, participate in service plan meetings, and train new staff while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• LPN, CNA, or HCA license.
• Previous experience in Assisted Living.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Meets all mandatory health and training requirements per State regulation.
• Maintains a current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
• Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
• Has compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime, to meet the requirements of the position.
• Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other employees.
• Ability to creatively problem-solve in resident care
• Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Ability to work independently (with minimum supervision)
• Maintains current Food Handlers Card.

Responsibilities

• Makes and keeps care staff schedule updated and arranges coverage for PTO.
• Acts as on-call staff and fills in shifts when requested by the Director of Nursing Services.
• Reads staff communication records and maintains familiarity with resident records.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living, medications, treatments and other care while encouraging self-care and independence.
• Coordinates care with outside agencies.
• Participates in service plan meetings with residents and families.
• Ensures all medications are placed in a timely manner and MAR orders correctly transcribed.
• Attends required meetings and trainings.
• Operates as lead/trainer for care staff.
