Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Newark, Delaware is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living tasks at our Newark community.

You will respond to calls and alerts, assist with meals and mobility, support housekeeping, and help plan engaging activities while maintaining confidentiality. A strong team approach and CPR/First Aid readiness are expected, with training and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents.
• Report incidents and care concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and mobility.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain clean resident areas.
• Respond promptly to calls and emergency alerts.
• Plan and participate in resident activities and programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Support residents during meals and transitions between activities.
