Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities at our community in Hockessin, Delaware.

You will respond to resident needs, follow care plans, assist with mobility, meals, housekeeping, and participate in activity programs while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Training and development opportunities, flexible scheduling, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must complete approved Personal Care Aide program per state regulations.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods; lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Reports incidents and care concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Responds promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Assists in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding resident information.
• Assists residents with move-in transitions and emotional support.
• Other duties as assigned.
