Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide quality care to residents, assist with daily living activities, and support the nursing team in a busy senior living environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, activities, mobility, and housekeeping while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct. The role requires strong communication, reliability, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor.
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must be able to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics.
• Must be in designated uniform during working hours, to include name badge.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to represent the community in a positive and professional manner.
• Must attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties around resident rooms and common areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Assist residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Check on residents, ensure attendance at meals and activities, and report concerns.
