Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Delaware is hiring a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities. You will report incidents, follow policies, support mobility, and participate in activity programs, while maintaining confidentiality.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and ability to work with a nursing team. Weekend and holiday availability is expected; training and CPR/First Aid certification preferred or within 60

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed an approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Organized and collaborative with nursing staff and supervisor.
• Polite and considerate of residents, visitors and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Reports incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Plan and conduct activity programs for residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist residents to dining areas and to activities.
• Monitor resident health and report concerns to appropriate staff.
• Communicate status and upcoming information to the team.
• Provide emotional support to new residents during move-in.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
