Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a full-time Resident Assistant in Minnetonka, MN. The role involves hands-on care and supporting residents in daily activities, with a focus on compassionate communication with residents and their families.

You will assist with ADLs, support residents emotionally and physically, and document care activities daily. Prior experience in long-term care is preferred and CNA/HHA credentials are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated by the service plan.
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the service agreement.
• Observe residents and report changes in physical or emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, and communication book.
