Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Resident Assistant in Minnetonka, MN to provide hands-on care and emotional support. The role supports residents, communicates with families and case managers, and assists in dining and activities.

The position runs 2:30p-10:45p with shift differentials and benefits such as a 401(k) match. The ideal candidate has six months of long-term care or assisted living experience, is registered as a Nursing Assistant (preferred), and can make responsible decisions in

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aaid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
