Job summary

Great Lakes Management in Bloomington, MN is hiring a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents under supervision. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, dining room duties, and participating in activities and outings to enhance quality of life.

Qualified candidates may have CNA/HHA/CNA certification, or be registered as a Nursing Assistant. The position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living (preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe residents and report changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
