Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide basic care and assist residents with daily living activities in our community. The role requires compassion, the ability to work with a team, and a dedication to residents’ well-being.

Responsibilities include personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, meal services, social activities, and collaboration with nursing and other staff to support residents’ physical and psycho-social health.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant per state regulations.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care to residents and assist with daily living activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, meals, and social-recreational activities.
• Support the nursing department and other staff in delivering care to residents
• Collaborate with medical professionals, consultants, residents and families to promote well-being.

Education

Nursing Assistant Certification or State Trained Nursing Assistant
