Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring a Resident Assistant to provide basic care and assist residents with daily living activities. The RA supports personal hygiene, dressing, meals, and social activities while collaborating with the nursing team.

Excellent people skills and compassion are essential. Availability includes weekends/holidays on a rotating basis, with opportunities for full-time or part-time shifts across days, evenings, or nights.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Current Nursing Assistant certification or State Trained Nursing Assistant depending on state regulations.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care to residents and assist with daily living activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, and meals.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, medical professionals, and families to support resident well-being.
• Contribute to maintaining the highest practical physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being of residents.
