Alden Estates of Naperville in Naperville, IL is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily nursing care following all regulatory and facility policies. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, participate in care planning, and ensure a warm, safe environment.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing assistant program diploma, CPR certification, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing assistant program with competency evaluation.
• Be at least 16 years old, of good character and trustworthy.
• Provide evidence of prior employment and residence for two years.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess CPR certification or obtain within two weeks.
• Demonstrates care for ill, disabled, and elderly; communicate respectfully.
• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Be personable, enthusiastic, and customer-oriented.

Responsabilités

• Follow nursing procedures and dress code according to policies.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Contribute to the written care plan for each resident.
• Attend care plan conferences and family/resident meetings.
• Report concerns to the Administrator or supervisor.
• Make rounds to ensure safety and comfort of residents.
• Maintain a warm, calm, supportive department environment.
• Participate in in-service education programs.
• Assist in orienting new staff to facility policies and procedures.
• Inventory and secure residents' personal possessions.
• Assist with packing during transfers or discharge.
• Maintain intake and output records; monitor bowel movements.
• Make beds, change linens, and tidy rooms; notify housekeeping as needed.
• Respond to call lights; assist with calls and errands.
• Record vital signs and anthropometric measurements as needed.
• Observe skin condition and report abnormalities.
• Provide personal services as time allows (reading/writing letters).
• Encourage self-care and rehabilitation; assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with care of dying and expired residents.
• Record meal and fluid intake; monitor changes in eating habits.
• Keep water pitchers filled and reachable; serve snacks between meals.
• Use transfer belt as needed and ensure nurse call system is accessible.
• Report hazardous equipment/conditions to staff nurse immediately.
• Participate in QA program for Nursing Department.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
