Job summary

Qualifications

• Nursing arts course completion evidenced by a diploma or certificate.
• Must be at least 16 years old with good moral character.
• Provide evidence of employment/occupation and residence for two years prior to employment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certificate or obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Demonstrates interest/knowledge in caring for ill, disabled, and elderly.

Responsibilities

• Follow nursing procedures and policies to provide daily resident care.
• Assist with activities of daily living for residents as directed by staff.
• Develop and use a written plan of care for each resident.
• Attend care plan conferences and family council meetings when invited.
• Report concerns or changes to the Nurse/Administrator and maintain a safe, warm environment.
• Assist with transfers, meals, and monitoring of vital signs as needed.
• Support self-care and rehabilitation efforts for residents.
