Job summary

The Alden Network in Chicago, IL is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide daily care to residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. You will support residents with activities of daily living, monitor health and comfort, and collaborate with nursing staff to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Key duties include recording intake and output, assisting with meals, taking vital signs, and helping residents with mobility and personal care.

Qualifications

• Completed a nursing arts course and approved competency evaluation.
• Must be at least 16, with high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily nursing care to residents per established standards.
• Assist with activities of daily living for residents.
• Develop a written plan of care for each resident.
• Attend care plan conferences and family/Resident Council when invited.
• Respond to concerns and notify the Administrator as needed.
• Record intake/output and monitor meals and nutrition.
• Maintain clean and orderly resident rooms and supplies.
• Obtain vital signs and report changes to the nurse.
• Support self-care and rehabilitation to residents.
