Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide in Bridgeport, WV, to provide quality daily living support to residents. The role emphasizes compassion, proper body mechanics, and clear communication with residents, families, and the nursing team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Must communicate effectively verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Able to lift 50 lbs, push or carry 25 lbs.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Uniforms required during working hours, including name badge.
• Represent the community positively.

Responsibilities

• Report incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals (e.g., HCD, RN/LPN, ED).
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Communicate resident status and upcoming information in writing.
• Assist new residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support.
