Job summary

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a state-approved personal care aide program, good communication, and physical stamina. Training and a clear schedule, including weekends and holidays, are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State-approved personal care aide program completion required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of staff.
• Contribute to nursing team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Report resident incidents and care concerns to the appropriate staff (e.g., HCD, RN/LPN, ED).
• Maintain knowledge of all relevant policies and procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Remain calm and competent during emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Follow confidentiality policies for resident information.
