Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to support residents with daily living activities in a Martinsburg community. Responsibilities include care, housekeeping, activity planning, and emergency response, with an emphasis on compassion and confidentiality.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a PCA program, with CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days. Flexible scheduling includes weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of staff.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs; safely transfer residents.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or willing to obtain within 60 days.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed (beds, rooms, common areas).
• Respond promptly to calls and emergencies.
• Assist residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support.
• Communicate resident status and appointments in writing and verbally.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
