Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point is seeking a part-time Watson Hall Resident Assistant (CDA) to live in a residence hall and support student development through creative programming and collaboration with hall staff. The role requires a maximum of 20 hours per week during each academic semester, with emphasis on community engagement and program planning.

Applicants must be current UW–Stevens Point students, maintain a 2.5 GPA, and complete required background checks.

Qualifications

• Criminal background, misconduct, and trust checks required.
• Available for full 2026–2027 academic year.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Residence hall living experience for 2+ semesters.
• Enrolled full-time (12 credits) at UW‑SP.
• Creative thinking without diluting messages.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hall staff to develop materials and programs.
• Attend hall activities as directed by the RHD.
• Create community development materials for common spaces.
• Facilitate educational conversations on standards and policies.
• Support student development and wellness messaging.
• Maintain communication with RHD and report concerns.
• Complete SPIN administrative tasks and five weekly desk hours.
• Attend weekly meetings and health checks.
• Supervise desk staff and plan staff meetings.
