Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point is seeking a Baldwin Hall Resident Assistant, a part‑time student employment role in the Office of Housing and Residence Life. RAs live on each floor and support residents through community development, programming, and campus resource navigation.

Compensation includes room waiver in all halls, a meal‑plan waiver for four‑person suites, and stipends of $500 per semester for the first two semesters, increasing to $550 thereafter; typical hours are 20 per week

Qualifications

• Full‑time UW‑Stevens Point student.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
• At least one semester living in a residence hall.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality per FERPA/Title IX.

Responsibilities

• Support academic mission by communicating academic support services and modeling effective study habits.
• Educate residents on personal lifestyle choices and community health.
• Plan, develop, and implement social and educational programs with the Resident Hall Director.
• Operate the hall front desk, handle room inspections and maintenance follow‑ups.
• Enforce rules consistently and report incidents as required.
• Serve as campus security authority and complete required training.
• Participate in weekly meetings and act as liaison for resident concerns.
