Job summary

Great Lakes Management in Minnetonka, MN is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and support to residents per service agreements. You will assist in dining, participate in activities, and help maintain daily living routines.

The role requires about six months of long-term care experience and a nursing assistant or home health aide certification. Evening and night shifts are available, with a night differential, and a 401(k) plan is offered.

Qualifications

Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with ADLs as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
