Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Resident Assistant in Bloomington, MN to provide hands-on care and support to residents per their service agreements. You will communicate with residents and families and assist in dining and activities, ensuring safety and well-being.

The role emphasizes assisting with ADLs, supporting independence, and collaborating with nursing staff; six months in long-term care is preferred and CNA registration is favored. A competitive pay range and benefits are noted.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. to the case manager
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Education

Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) / CNA
