Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant in Maplewood, MN to provide hands-on care and support for residents. You will communicate with residents, families, and the case manager, and assist in daily dining and activity participation to enhance quality of life.

responsibilities include helping with ADLs, promoting independence, offering physical and emotional support, and documenting daily activities. Shift differentials and a 401(k) match are provided.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence.
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated in the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Education

Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA/HHA/CNA)
