Job summary

Great Lakes Management (GLM) in West Saint Paul is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care, both physical and emotional, to residents as outlined in each service agreement.

You will assist with ADLs, support residents in dining and activities, document daily notes, communicate changes to the case manager, and work closely with nursing staff during treatments. This full-time overnight role offers shift differentials and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe clients and report changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands-on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident's service agreement. Responsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assists in the dining room and participating in activities and outings.

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement

• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
