Job summary

Smith Crossing's Nursing team is seeking a Resident Assistant who cares deeply about residents and wants to make a positive impact in their lives. You will assist with resident care and unit operations, promoting independence and social engagement.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of relevant experience; full-time benefits include 401k with up to 4% match, health, dental, vision and life insurance, Flexible Spending Account, generous PTO, and tuition

Responsibilities

• Complete resident care tasks and unit operation.
• Encourage resident independence and social activity participation.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition.
• Provide compassionate care and guidance to residents.
• Provide daily personal hygiene and care.
• Chart electronically and on paper as needed.
• Maintain supplies and keep the charge book updated.

Job description

Sign-On Bonus: You will be eligible to receive a total sign-on bonus of $2,400, paid in four installments of $600 each. Payments will be made upon completion of 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months of employment, in accordance with company policy.

Part-time and Full-time

Starting Pay: $18.25 (Commensurate with experience)

Pay differentials:

PM or Night Shifts: Additional $2 shift differential

Plus, an additional 10% Weekend Differential for all shifts

Full-time - AL

AM-6:30am-2:30pm

Full-time AL Memory Care

Job Duties include:

• Completion of all tasks related to resident care and unit operation
• Encouraging resident's independence and participation in social activities
• Observing and reporting changes in resident's conditions
• Providing compassionate services and guidance to the residents
• Provides daily personal hygiene and care
• Charts electronically and on sheets (as needed) at appropriate times and at completion of tasks
• Ensures all supplies are adequately accounted for and maintains charge book as directed. Accounts for all items used by residents.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.

Licensure: None

Experience: 6 months in relevant field
