Job summary

HomeFirst is seeking a Resident Advocate for the Labath Landing Program in Rohnert Park, CA. The role focuses on on-site care, safety, and support for participants and guests, helping with access to services, housing plans, and daily operations.

You will document services in HMIS, complete intake assessments, and lead weekly workshops on financial literacy, tenant rights, and job readiness, while maintaining client confidentiality and program guidelines.

Qualifications

• AA degree (or equivalent of 2 years of higher education) or two years of field experience in social services.
• Sensitivity to the needs of unhoused individuals.
• Experience working with unhoused population.

Responsibilities

• Care, safety and supervision of program participants and guests.
• Document notes of services in HMIS within 3 business days.
• Complete intake of potential participants including VI-SPDAT assessments.
• Develop and update personalized housing plans with participants.
• Promote and lead weekly on-site workshops on topics like financial literacy, tenant rights, and job search.
• Respond to guest crises using de-escalation and mental health first aid.
