Job summary

MediLodge of Livingston is seeking a compassionate Resident Activity Assistant to plan and lead engaging, person-centered activity programs for residents. You will document participation and outcomes, support the activity director, and help create a warm, supportive community within the center.

This role uses pet, music, and art therapies to promote well-being, requires teamwork with other care disciplines, and offers benefits including medical, dental, 401K, and daily pay options.

Responsibilities

• Assist activity director and support individualized programming.
• Use the environment to provide comfort and stimulation to residents.
• Lead and participate in activities, including group and one-to-one sessions.
• Incorporate models like pet therapy, music therapy and art therapy.
• Prepare event decor and monthly activity calendars.
• Record participation and outcomes in medical records.
• Promote community involvement and volunteer engagement.
• Maintain activity equipment and clean the activity area.
