Job summary

MediLodge of Westwood is seeking a Resident Activity Assistant to organize and participate in activity programming for residents, including one-to-one interactions, small groups, and large group presentations. The role involves documenting participation and the value of approaches in medical records.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated willingness to learn new modalities and approaches.

Responsibilities

• Assist the resident activity director as needed.
• Utilize the environment to provide comfort and stimulation to residents.
• Foster a sense of community within the center environment.
• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Use various activity models (pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy).
• Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for events.
• Develop and post monthly calendars for residents and families.
• Support residents in recreational programs beyond their rooms.
• Promote volunteer engagement in the community.
• Maintain records of activities and participation.
