Job summary

MediLodge of Shoreline in Michigan is seeking a Resident Activity Assistant to organize and participate in activity programming, one-to-one and group sessions, and document participation in the resident's medical record.

You will support the activity director, foster community within the center, lead activities using various models, help decorate for events, plan monthly calendars, and encourage resident and family engagement in recreational programs.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfort with supporting residents and families facing end-of-life issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist the activity director as needed.

• Foster a sense of community within the center.
• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Utilize diverse activity models (pet therapy, music, art) to achieve goals.
• Decorate for events and prepare monthly calendars for residents and families.
