Job summary

MediLodge of Munising is seeking a Resident Activity Assistant to organize and participate in person-centered activity programming, including one-to-one sessions, small groups, and large events. You will document participation and outcomes in residents' medical records to support individualized care.

Responsibilities include assisting with the activity director, facilitating comfort and stimulation, and fostering a sense of community within the center.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn new modalities and approaches.
• Good listening skills and the ability to build rapport with residents.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written, with residents and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively with nursing and other disciplines.
• Respect for resident confidentiality and dignity.
• Comfort with providing support related to end-of-life care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the resident activity director as needed.
• Plan and lead individual and group activities to engage residents.
• Document participation and outcomes in resident records.
• Decorate and prepare for events and seasonal activities.
• Develop monthly calendars for activities and family communication.
• Promote community involvement and volunteer efforts.
