Job summary

PACS in Sun City, AZ seeks an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering a creative, resident-centered activities program that complies with all regulations.

You will help plan schedules, assist with transportation, encourage participation, and maintain records. The role requires a high school diploma and possibly Fingerprint Clearance Card; previous LTC experience is preferred. We offer a supportive team and opportunities to impact resident well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferably one year of experience in a long-term care facility.
• Must have a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Ability to read and comprehend procedures and policies.
• Ability to present information to residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting individual and group activities.
• Support activity director with calendars and attendance records.
• Coordinate resident transportation for outings and appointments.
• Encourage resident participation in hobbies, crafts, and reading.
• Maintain a clean, safe activity department environment.
