PACS is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in designing and delivering a creative activities program for residents. You will help plan individual and group activities, arrange outings, and ensure activities align with regulatory and facility standards.

The role involves assisting with calendars, attendance, transportation, and care planning, with an emphasis on engaging residents in hobbies, reading, and social participation. Physical requirements apply.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 1 year of experience in a long-term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information to managers and employees.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Ability to solve practical problems.
• Ability to interpret written or verbal instructions.

Aufgaben

• Plan and conduct individual and group activities.
• Assist in communication between staff, residents, families and the public.
• Assist in monthly activity calendar development and attendance records.
• Support discharge planning and activity care plans.
• Arrange transportation for residents as needed for outings or appointments.
• Develop monthly activity schedules including outings and in-room activities.
• Encourage resident participation in hobbies, crafts and reading.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and secure Activity Department.
