Job summary

Villa Healthcare’s Ambassador, A Villa Center in Detroit is seeking a Recreational Services Aide to join the team. Under the supervision of the Recreational Services Director, you will assist in planning, implementing and evaluating programs that support residents’ physical, emotional and psychosocial well‑being.

You will help residents participate in activities, accompany them to events, and communicate feedback to your supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in a relevant role preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements activity programming as planned and assigned to meet residents' needs and interests.
• Assists residents to and from activity programs and outings.
• Maintains rapport with family members and encourages family involvement in programs.
• Provides input to assessments and evaluations of resident participation.
• Communicates residents' concerns to the supervisor.
• Supports residents' individual needs and preferences.
• All other duties as assigned.
